Ayrshire Cancer Support is a well established local charitable organisation which provides emotional support and practical help for cancer patients, their families, carers and the bereaved.
Andrew’s relationship with ACS goes back almost 15 years, when he first worked as a volunteer therapist, undertaking one to one sessions and group work with patients and staff.
Highly valuing Andrew’s work, ACS has distributed around 500 of his CD Relax, which they have found to be of enormous help and benefit to both patients and staff.
Last year Andrew delivered a series of training workshops to around 200 ACS service users and healthcare professionals. Funded by the Long Term Conditions Alliance, the workshops took place over a seven month period and focused on relaxation and self hypnosis techniques to help people effectively manage their condition.
